My favorite book of all time. I try to re-read it every five years or so. Was given to me as a gift in 1980 based upon the pre-Civil War sailing voyage of a Washington Journalist. This book is significant for several reasons. It describes the New England Coast, weather, people, geography, flora, fauna and marine life in fine detail while describing the fun each man had during the trip. In those days, fun was a fine conversation around a fire-some of us still consider this fun as well. A great read for the true or armchair mariner.Product details
